- 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in the center of each cookie and fill with caramel sauce.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gooier center, use high-quality caramel sauce and avoid overbaking.
