- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 cups pecan halves, chopped
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a richer flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the dough. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
