  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each ball and fill with caramel sauce.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a chewier texture, slightly underbake the cookies. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
