Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with sweet apples and warm spices, topped with a creamy glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup water, warmed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, water, melted butter, and egg. Stir until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. In a small bowl, mix diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the apple mixture evenly over it.
  4. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
