  • ¼ cupice-cold water
  • For the Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoonkosher salt
  • ½ teaspoonsugar
  • ¼ teaspooncayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
  2. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the Parmesan, flour, cornmeal, salt, sugar, and cayenne pepper until evenly mixed.
  5. Incorporate the Butter
  6. Add the softened butter to the mixture and work it in using a pastry blender or your fingers until the texture becomes crumbly with small pea-sized pieces.
  7. Add the Water
  8. Pour in the ice-cold water a little at a time, stirring until the dough begins to hold together. Gently knead into a smooth ball—avoid overmixing.

  13. Cool and Serve
  14. Serve warm for the best flavor. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for several days.
