For the Crust:
- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Butter one side of each bread slice and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place two bread slices, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Layer mozzarella, avocado, and tomato slices on each bread slice.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
You can customize the seasonings to taste.
