Baked Apple Fritters

Delicious and healthier baked apple fritters with a crispy exterior and soft, cinnamon-spiced interior.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly.
  7. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
