Baked Feta with Olives & Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 block (7-8 ounces) feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives, halved
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for garnish
  • Crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small baking dish, place the block of feta cheese in the center.
  3. Top the feta with the halved olives and chopped sun-dried tomatoes.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the top, then sprinkle with minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the feta is soft and slightly golden around the edges.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs.
  7. Serve warm with crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the red pepper flakes. This dish pairs well with wine.
