Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds flank steak
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
- Grill the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Arrange sliced steak on a platter with tomato slices, mozzarella, and basil leaves.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality balsamic vinegar and let the steak rest to retain juices.
