- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (10 oz) tortilla chips, crushed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 5 minutes until the onion is softened.
- In a large casserole dish, layer the crushed tortilla chips at the bottom.
- Spread the black beans evenly over the chips, followed by the beef mixture.
- Pour the salsa over the beef layer and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
