For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Layer half the cooked noodles in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with half the beef mixture, then half the sour cream, and half the cheese.
- Repeat layers ending with cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
