Beef Tips and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef sirloin tips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef tips with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the beef tips and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove beef and set aside; add onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir to coat.
  6. Slowly add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly until thickened.
  7. Return beef to the skillet and simmer for 45-60 minutes until tender.
  8. Serve hot over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, add more flour as needed. Pairs well with vegetables.
