Blue Cheese Walnut Thyme Puff Pastry Twirl

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Brush the pastry with olive oil, then evenly sprinkle blue cheese, walnuts, and thyme over the surface.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly into a log, then slice into 1-inch thick rounds.
  5. Place the rounds on the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.
