Caramelized Pear & Blue Cheese Tart Wreath

  • For the tart:
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced pears and brown sugar, cooking until caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry into a circle and arrange the caramelized pears in a wreath shape on top, leaving a hole in the center.
  4. Sprinkle the blue cheese over the pears and bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and brush with honey glaze, then sprinkle with fresh thyme.

Notes
