Caramelized Pear Ricotta Snowflake Tartlets

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, sliced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add sliced pears, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until pears are caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut into snowflake shapes using a cookie cutter.
  4. Fill the center of each pastry shape with ricotta cheese and top with caramelized pears.
  5. Brush edges with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a festive touch, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
