- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 8 ounces sliced turkey breast
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 strips bacon, cooked until crispy
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- Optional: 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Spread butter on one side of each sourdough slice.
- Assemble the sandwiches: On the non-buttered side of two slices, layer turkey, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Spread mustard on the other two slices if using, and place on top buttered side out.
- Grill the sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, or until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
Notes
Serve with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal. Use turkey bacon for a lighter version.
