Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Melt on Sourdough

A hearty sandwich featuring sliced turkey, melted cheddar cheese, and crispy bacon on toasted sourdough bread.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 8 ounces sliced turkey breast
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each sourdough slice.
  3. Assemble the sandwiches: On the non-buttered side of two slices, layer turkey, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Spread mustard on the other two slices if using, and place on top buttered side out.
  4. Grill the sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, or until bread is golden and cheese is melted.

Notes

Serve with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal. Use turkey bacon for a lighter version.
