- 1 cup beef broth.
- 1/2 cup milk.
- 4 slices cheese (provolone/Swiss).
- 4 hamburger buns.
- Salt and pepper.
- Butter for buns.
- Optional toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles).
Instructions
- Sauté onion and garlic in butter.
- Add flour to make roux, cook 2 minutes.
- Gradually add broth and milk, stirring until thickened.
- Season gravy with salt and pepper.
- Add beef, simmer until heated.
- Toast buttered buns until golden.
- Layer beef and cheese on buns.
- Add optional toppings and serve hot.
