For the Crust:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
- 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually mix in flour until just combined. Fold in chopped cherries.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows evenly over the top. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes until marshmallows are puffed and golden.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
