Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake Cupcakes

Decadent chocolate cupcakes filled with creamy peanut butter cheesecake and topped with chocolate ganache.

For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Prepare cake batter by mixing cake mix, oil, eggs, and water until smooth.
  3. In separate bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Fill cupcake liners halfway with chocolate batter, then add 1 tbsp peanut butter mixture to each.
  5. Top with remaining chocolate batter and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream to make ganache, then drizzle over cooled cupcakes.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
