For the Crust:
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining 2 eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
- Pour cream cheese mixture over the cake layer. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges are set but center is still slightly gooey. Let cool before serving.
