Christmas Clouds

Light and airy sugar cookies shaped like snowflakes, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For decoration: powdered sugar and food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes.
  8. Place on baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Cool on a wire rack and decorate as desired.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
