Christmas Cranberry Walnut Cheese Balls

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces (2 packages) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped and toasted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Additional walnuts and cranberries for rolling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped cranberries, chopped walnuts, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Scoop the mixture into small balls using a tablespoon or cookie scoop.
  3. Roll each ball in additional chopped walnuts and cranberries for coating.
  4. Place the cheese balls on a plate or tray, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Serve chilled with crackers, fruit, or vegetables.

Notes

These cheese balls can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a nut-free version, substitute walnuts with pumpkin seeds.
