Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup minced green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Additional chopped walnuts and cranberries for coating

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add shredded cheddar, chopped cranberries, chopped walnuts, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball.
  4. Roll the cheese ball in additional chopped walnuts and cranberries to coat.
  5. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  6. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

Notes

Make ahead and refrigerate up to 3 days.
For extra flavor, toast the walnuts before mixing.
