Christmas Cranberry Walnut Cheese Balls

Festive and easy-to-make cheese balls studded with dried cranberries and crunchy walnuts, making them a perfect holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Additional walnuts and cranberries for coating (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the chopped dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, chopped green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl.
  3. Mix everything together until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into a ball (or balls) using your hands or a spatula.
  5. If desired, roll the ball in additional chopped walnuts and dried cranberries to coat the outside.
  6. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  7. Serve chilled with crackers, vegetable sticks, or bread slices.

Notes

These cheese balls can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper.
