For the Crust:

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, soak chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours).
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne, Parmesan cheese, and ranch seasoning.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, pressing to coat evenly.
  5. Fry tenders in batches for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
