Cream Cheese Holiday Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before tearing apart to enjoy the cream cheese softness.
