Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

A rich and spicy pasta dish with succulent shrimp and a creamy Cajun sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add Cajun seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and let the sauce thicken slightly.
  6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and add the cooked pasta. Toss to coat evenly.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
