For the Crust:
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Add Cajun seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and let the sauce thicken slightly.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and add the cooked pasta. Toss to coat evenly.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
