Crispy Oven Fried Chicken Delight

A healthier take on fried chicken with a crispy, golden crust baked to perfection.

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat each piece evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with melted butter.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
