- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, pouring some cream mixture over each layer and sprinkling with cheeses.
- Top with the remaining Parmesan and Gruyere cheese and drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the top is golden and crispy. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispier top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes. Pairs well with roasted meats.
