The Best Steak Marinade

A simple and flavorful marinade that enhances the taste of steak with soy sauce, olive oil, and herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons dried basil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients.
  2. Place steak in a shallow dish and pour marinade over it.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  4. Preheat grill for high heat.
  5. Lightly oil the grill grate. Grill steaks for 7 to 10 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.

Notes

For a spicier version, add more hot pepper sauce. Marinate for no more than 24 hours to avoid overpowering the meat.
