Easy Homemade Beef Lo Mein

A quick and delicious beef lo mein with tender strips of beef, fresh vegetables, and perfectly cooked noodles.

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1/2 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, marinate the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add cabbage, carrots, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles, and toss everything together. Cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
