- For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the sugar, lemon zest, and softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and lemon juice.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled loaf.
