Easy Turtle Bars

Delicious layered bars with a buttery crust, gooey caramel, chocolate, and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 package (14 oz) caramels
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. Stir in graham cracker crumbs until well combined.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over the crust.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramels with evaporated milk, stirring every 30 seconds.
  7. Pour the caramel mixture over the chocolate chips and pecans.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars are best stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
