Festive Macaron Christmas Trees

Colorful macarons assembled into tree shapes, perfect for holiday celebrations with almond shells and festive fillings.

Ingredients

  • 100g almond flour
  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 100g egg whites
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • Green food coloring
  • Edible glitter for decoration
  • For filling: 100g buttercream frosting
  • Sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
  2. Whip egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in the dry ingredients and green food coloring to make the batter.
  4. Pipe the batter into tree shapes on a baking sheet.
  5. Let the piped macarons rest for 30 minutes, then bake at 150°C for 15 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool completely before filling with buttercream.
  7. Assemble the trees by stacking macarons and decorate with sprinkles and glitter.

Notes

Ensure the macarons are fully dried before baking to prevent cracking. Store in an airtight container.
