Caramel Flan Muffins

Creamy, rich, and topped with caramel, these flan muffins are the perfect bite-sized dessert. Easy to make and great for parties or gatherings.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place a muffin tin inside a larger baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt sugar with water over medium heat until golden brown to make caramel. Quickly pour a spoonful into each muffin cup.
  3. In a blender, combine eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the caramel in each muffin cup. Fill the larger baking dish with hot water halfway up the sides of the muffin tin.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. To serve, run a knife around the edges and invert onto plates.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
