Tender steak tips cooked in garlic butter and served with penne pasta in a creamy Parmesan Velveeta sauce.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef steak tips
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Velveeta cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak tips and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually add Velveeta cheese and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Return the cooked steak tips to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add the drained penne pasta and mix well.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter. Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
