Mouth-watering German Chocolate Poke Cake

A decadent German chocolate poke cake with layers of rich chocolate, coconut, and pecans.

For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Once the cake is baked, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
  3. Pour sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  4. Sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped pecans evenly over the top of the cake.
  5. In a small bowl, mix chocolate frosting with heavy cream until smooth, then drizzle over the cake.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
