For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (14 oz) bag soft caramels
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press firmly into pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, melt caramels with heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour over baked crust.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot caramel. Let sit 2 minutes, then spread evenly.
- Top with chopped nuts (if using) and sea salt. Chill for 2 hours before cutting.
