- For the Ground Beef Gravy:
- 1pound ground beef
- 1onion, finely chopped
- 2cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoonsflour
- 2 cupsbeef broth
- 1 tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Mashed Potatoes:
- 2pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cupmilk
- 4 tablespoonsbutter
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- For the Mashed Potatoes:
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain and return to the pot. Add milk, butter, and salt. Mash until smooth and creamy.
- For the Ground Beef Gravy:
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- To serve:
- Spoon the beef gravy over the mashed potatoes.
