- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside; in the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, basil, and oregano; simmer until sauce thickens.
- Slice the chicken and add back to the sauce.
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions, then toss with the sauce.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
