- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (like basil and parsley), chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside; in the same skillet, add garlic and herbs, sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, simmer until sauce thickens.
- Slice chicken and add back to the sauce, stirring to coat.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and toss with the sauce mixture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. Pairs well with garlic bread.
