- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the confectioners' sugar, corn syrup, water, and peppermint extract until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a surface dusted with confectioners' sugar until smooth.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and flatten them into patties.
- Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Melt the shortening and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds.
- Dip each patty into the melted chocolate, coating completely, and place back on the baking sheet.
- Refrigerate until the chocolate sets, about 1 hour.
Notes
For best results, ensure the patties are fully chilled before dipping in chocolate. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
