For the Crust:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Press half the cookie dough into the prepared pan. Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the dough.
- Drop remaining dough over the caramel layer and gently spread to cover.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely before slicing.
