For the Crust:
- 4 large sweet onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half the sliced onions in a greased baking dish. Spread half the mayonnaise mixture over the onions, then sprinkle half the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Repeat the layers with remaining onions, mayonnaise mixture, and cheeses. Top with Parmesan cheese and drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
