For the Crust:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, and garlic powder. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
