Kentucky Sawdust Pie

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together pecans, coconut, graham cracker crumbs, and brown sugar.
  3. Stir in melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  6. Let cool completely before slicing and serving.
