For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in mashed bananas.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
