Maple Orange Glazed Chicken Quarters

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken quarters
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, orange juice, orange zest, garlic, salt, and pepper to make the glaze.
  3. Pat the chicken quarters dry and rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the chicken quarters in a baking dish and brush generously with the glaze.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, basting with more glaze every 15 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the glaze for at least 30 minutes before baking.
