Mediterranean Olive Tapenade Layered Cheese Log

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pitted Kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the chopped olives, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, basil, and feta cheese.
  3. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture on a sheet of plastic wrap to form a log shape.
  4. Layer the olive mixture on top of the cream cheese.
  5. Top with the remaining cream cheese mixture and shape into a log.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  7. Roll the log in chopped almonds before serving.
  8. Serve with crackers or bread.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the olive mixture. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
