  • 1 (4-pound) beef tenderloin, trimmed

  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
  4. Rub the mixture all over the beef tenderloin.
  5. Place the beef on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
